After their helicopter ride on Thursday, it was clear that Bec and Jamie were going all out for their Autumnal wedding.
With wonderfully unseasonal weather, our stunning Bride was accompanied by her dashing dad and beautiful Bridesmaids as she completed her preparations and made her way towards the aisle. With the help of some extremely professional Ushers, Bec and Jamie’s guests were seated and awaiting the arrival of our blushing Bride and her huge grin.
Following their beautiful ceremony (and a celebratory cheer from our Groom!) our newly-weds headed out into the glorious blue skies and sunshine to enjoy a celebratory drink and some delicious canapes.
After drinks, canapes, photographs and confetti guests found their seats for the wedding breakfast with a little help from a beautiful table plan of flower pots filled with flowers and, of course, our ever helpful Ushers for the day.
As the Bride’s brother announced that the new Mr and Mrs Perry were making their way into the room, their nearest and dearest enjoyed the sounds of Hakuna Matata from Disney’s Lion King (of course) and we wish our special couple no worries for the rest of their days!
At the tables, gorgeous seasonal decorations included natural flowers, fir cones, gold glittery gourds, and hessian wrapped favours to match the table runners and chair sashes provided by KWF.
While one lucky guest was invited to join Chef in the kitchen to collect the pork joints with plenty of crackling to be carved at the tables, the remaining guests were treated to a slideshow of photos of Bec and Jamie with friends and family that showed us them as tiny babies right the way through childhood and into their time spent together (including some questionable stag and hen do photos – with Nan being named and shamed as the cluckiest hen!).
After dessert of either sticky toffee pudding or lemon posset it was time to indulge in a glass of fizz in readiness to toast the speeches. As the Father of the Bride took to the microphone there was not a dry eye in the house as he told the room how proud he is of the new Mr and Mrs Perry. Our Groom had a hard act to follow but his words were equally as touching as he spoke to his family, friends and his new wife! Jamie was followed by quite the double act who dished the dirt on their friend before enlisting the whole room in a quiz about the happy couple.
With the conclusion of the speeches, it was time for Craig to take to the stage for a quick jam on the guitar as his brother and his new wife shared an impromptu moment on the dance floor before being joined by their friends.
As darkness fell, a gorgeous scene of lit carved pumpkins added to the atmosphere on the terrace as evening guests arrived to join the party ahead of the couple’s romantic first dance.
In the evening, a spooky mist descended over Southwood and brought with it some Halloween craziness as the Joe Ringer Band donned scary masks and took to the stage for a ‘mad hour’ by special request of the happy couple.
With the stunning cake cut, fish and chip cones and a Southwood sweetie table with a Halloween twist, Bec and James’ guests had plenty to choose from to keep them going on the dance floor well into the night.
Mr and Mrs Perry, we hope you had a wonderful day with your fantastic family and friends and wish you all the happiness in the world on your mini-moon, your honeymoon and in your future together!
