‘You’re entirely bonkers but I’ll tell you a secret…all the best people are’!! ??

Our Bride’s vision of an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter’s tea party was pulled together with great conviction yesterday with the barn and our grounds being transformed with quotes, bunting, tea pots and cups along with flowers galore! The front steps were dressed with mirrors and quotes from the book and as you entered the barn the bright colours of the pom-poms and bunting certainly had the wow factor!
Despite a few spots of rain our Bride, in her fairy tale dusky pink and ivory organza gown, stepped across the lawns arm in arm with her Dad whilst smiling from ear to ear ready to become Mrs Hutchins!
Just like inside the barn the Rotunda was decorated wonderfully with bunting and personalised signs and quotes for all to enjoy with KWF providing lace chair sashes that rippled in the wind.
Canapes and drinks on the terrace kept guests occupied whilst inside the barn we chased down the white rabbit or two and spotted the Mad Hatter’s top hat being used as their card box – such a good idea! On the tables, the Bride had crafted little sweetie favour jars and place cards which fitted in just swell with the rest of the decorations along with pale blue and floral organza sashes from KWF.
The ever fabulous Daniel from Lightening Photography was on hand to gather guests for photos and along with two rather large helium balloons he whisked Lucy and James off for a few photos in the gardens whilst guests took their seats for dining!
Speeches preceded the meal with some wonderful stories from Lucy’s Dad Paul and James’ twin brother Oliver. As well as planning their wedding Lucy and James have also managed to purchase their first home together – sounds like to start of an awesome adventure!
In true Alice in Wonderland style guests were treated to afternoon tea with a delicious selection of sandwiches and homemade cakes served on dainty tea stands added to their vision perfectly!
With the sun peeking through the clouds guests headed for the terrace to enjoy and drink or two in the evening sunshine before coming back inside for the final formalities which included a gorgeous first dance to an Ed Sheeran classic which got everyone up on the dance floor. Our House DJ followed with some cheesy classics which had the girls busting out their best dance routines!
A tasty selection of treats awaited guests in the evening with our coal fired Kadai sausage sizzle alongside chips, doughnuts and candy floss – delicious!
‘Actually, the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures’ and that is just what we wish for the wonderful Mr & Mrs Hutchins!! Congratulations on your special day and we wish you all the best for your future together xx
