The #Medweds

We hosted April and James’ wedding in Coronation Barn yesterday and what a great day it was!

April prepared for the big day over in the Cartshed Lodge with her beautiful Bridesmaids – the girls had the tunes on and their own hairdresser and make-up artist to ensure that the morning was enjoyable and that they all looked picture perfect!

James’ headed over to the barn with his Groomsmen who ensured that all of the final details were in place ahead of the ceremony. April’s brother, Scott, helped everyone to find their way to their seats in time for the arrival of the bridal party.

April’s Dad was so incredibly proud to walk his little girl down the aisle and although he has had years to prepare, admitted that he was still a little nervous! The bridesmaids lead the way over to the Rotunda followed by April and her Dad and, of course, our Bride and Groom’s adorable son, Jacob.

After an emotional ceremony, the new Mr and Mrs Medler were announced to plenty of cheers as they made their way back down the aisle through an abundance of confetti! Guests helped themselves to a drink from the terrace cooler, or a glass of Pimms, and a quick snack from the canape ladders.

Our lovely couple have been so relaxed throughout the planning that it was only right that their day reflected that – a fun filled, family day for all to enjoy. Everyone made the most of the warm weather and enjoyed the garden games on the lawns before digging into a bite to eat from the barbecue and a sweet treat from our DIY sundae station.

With the sunshine making a surprise appearance, guests gathered around the terrace with a glass of Prosecco to listen in to the speeches. April’s Dad and his two Best Men shared their thank-you’s and funny stories and James told everyone how April has always been surprising him – from their first date and various birthdays over the years up until the moment she walked down the aisle earlier that day. It was clear to see that everyone agreed that April is a wonderful lady, great Mum to little Jacob and now of course a brilliant wife too! Guests soon rose from their seats in unison to raise a glass to our beautiful Bride!

Inside the barn, April had beautifully decorated the tables with her own centrepieces, hand carved wooden slices (made by her talented Dad) with petite bottles and jars of gypsophila and rose heads surrounded by tea lights – simply beautiful. KWF’s warm golden fairy lights twinkled away into the evening and our house DJ set up ready for a night of partying!

Our newlyweds cut their wedding cake which had been beautifully made by April’s Mum and decorated with hand crafted roses before heading over to the dance floor for their first dance as man and wife. A slideshow of memories April and James have made over the past 3 years proved the perfect backdrop on the big screen as guests watched on as they danced together.

Chef was back out under the barbecue lodge and the pizza oven was roaring ready for guests to pick their toppings and create their own pizza. The perfect choice for a summers evening ??.

We have had so much fun getting to know you both over the last year and it was a pleasure to meet all of your friends and family on your special day. We wish you both the happiest future together as the new Mr and Mrs Medler, with little Jacob too ?? xx
