The epitome of elegance

The barn was the epitome of elegance yesterday, filled with sophisticated gold candelabras dressed with opulent wreaths of roses as well as a lavish floral frame to dress the seating plan and pristine gold cutlery fit for royalty! This was all thanks to Louise & her mum Lizs' vision which was brought to life by the talented KWF.

With the spring sunshine peeking through guests made their way into Coronation Barn to the sounds of a string trio as they eagerly awaited the arrival of the bridal party.

They didn’t have to wait long as our super chilled and organised bride was ready with plenty of time to spare as she sipped a glass of bubbly before making her final preparations for the ceremony. With her best friends, sister and cute little flower girls in tow Louise was ready for her entrance. Dressed head to toe in lace, pretty peep toe shoes and flowers in her hair Louise, like her theme, was the personification of elegance and class!

Guests were in for a special treat during the signing of the register courtesy of Louise’s best friend and bridesmaid Lottie who took to the microphone with her Dad to sing a beautiful rendition of Songbird.

With the announcement of the new Mr & Mrs Triptree-Holmes, guests were invited to the terrace for a drink and tasty treat while the finishing touches to the barn took place ready for the wedding breakfast! A touch of rustic charm was added to the tables with pine cone place card holders and double tied hessian and organza chair sashes which all fitted in perfectly with the other decorations – KWF really got it spot on!

The wedding breakfast was soon upon us after guests cheered and applauded Louise and Matt into the room with a football themed entrance song. Although a little birdy told us it might not have actually been Matt’s suggestion! ;)

Tasty sausages with creamy mash was followed by a choice of either apple crumble with creamy custard and salted caramel or a refreshing lemon posset with a Southwood lavender shortbread biscuit. Which one would you choose?!

Glasses charged and plates cleared it was time for a few short speeches from the groomsmen who entertained with stories, jokes and a few thank you gifts!

With the light fading, evening guests arrived to some acoustic tunes and soon were treated to the final formalities of the day with the cutting of the cake and first dance. Louise and Matt were openly very nervous about their first dance but we think they did amazingly well and their worries soon floated away when they guests joined them on the floor.

Giant LOVE lights lit, fish and chip cones circulating, a drink or ten in hand and the band’s first set well underway it was clear to see everyone was ready to party on into the early hours!

Congratulations Louise and Matt on your special day! It has been a pleasure from start to finish and we wish you all the best for your future together :) x
