Nicky & Andrew's fairytale came true.. Finally!
Posted on 21 July 2017
Fresh from honeymoon in Italy, the new Mr and Mrs Conway-Laws gathered their nearest and dearest to celebrate getting hitched yesterday.
Gossip and giggles could be heard coming from Southwood House as the wedding party completed their preparations and the fun didn’t stop there.
With the sun shining, the awesome opera singers Hayley & Ben sang 1000 Years for the bridal party to make their grand entrance and join their guests on the terrace.
The bride and groom had treated their friends and family to drinks from the terrace cooler or a chance to ‘pimp their prosecco’ while enjoying delicious canapes and enjoying the opera singers.
Guests found their seats for the wedding breakfast by spotting the personalised cookies left for them on the tables. A rustic décor with romantic touches saw hessian and lace table runners and wooden plinths from KWF paired with jam jars of flowers from Auntie Melanie to create lovely centrepieces. Twinkly fairy lights and the impressive 5ft tall lit letters spelling ‘love’ gave a sensational backdrop to the evening party too.
After afternoon tea, it was time for a glass of Champagne to toast the speeches. It was always destined to be an emotional day as this gorgeous couple have twenty-one years of history together; five beautiful daughters; and a super cute granddaughter who were all very proud to be part of the stunning wedding party. The family had been through some difficult times recently and at times it felt like this day would never arrive, but we are so, so pleased that it did! ??
Some serious girl power was channelled for the speeches with bride Nicky speaking first, followed by her bridesmaid and best friend Kerry and then one of her lovely daughters Phoebe. With an impossible act to follow, our groom and the best man brought the formalities to a close and guests headed back outside to enjoy the evening sunshine.
The gorgeous cake, again courtesy of Auntie Melanie (a talented lady!) was cut after evening guests had arrived but the newlyweds will be able to remember it fondly thanks to a water colour artist who was busily capturing the important parts of the day with her paint brush as they were happening!
While enjoying fresh pizzas from the wood burning stove and some childhood favourites from the sweetie table, people gathered at the photograph memory board to admire photos of this close-knit family including the day that Nicky and Andrew met.
We were so proud to host your special day and to see your fairy tale come true…finally ??
