Mr and Mrs Brand's exciting news!

Posted on 10 July 2017

Yesterday Christina and Colin transformed the barn for their woodland themed wedding with rustic bark edged wooden plinths on the guest tables, wooden crates to display their table plan and pine cones and ivy to decorate the gift table, welcome sign and wooden ledges around the barn.

Christina prepared for the big day ahead with her girls in the Cartshed Lodge as Colin and his Best Man arrived to put final preparations in place ahead of guests arriving.

With the weather just about holding out, Christina’s beautiful Bridesmaids led the way down the aisle followed by our stunning Bride and her good friend Richard who proudly gave her away. Christina couldn’t wait to meet Colin and their gorgeous Border Collie, Holly, who had the important job of looking after the rings – how cute! The rain didn’t hold off for too long and everyone had to make a quick dash inside to watch the Bride and Groom complete the rest of the formalities. Even with the downpour, nothing could dampen the spirits of our newlyweds! ??

The new ‘Mr and Mrs Brand’ were announced and the sounds of The Corrs filled the barn as guests danced their way back down the aisle! We managed a few quick group shots on the terrace with the perfect confetti shot as Chef served his selection of tasty canapes.

It was soon time for guests to head inside and find their seats for the highly anticipated speeches. Christina’s proud Mum and Auntie were up first and both expressed how immensely proud they are of the beautiful woman Christina is. Best Man, Jum, was next and shared his words of wisdom for our newlyweds as he showed round some old photos of him and his best mate. We certainly saved the best speech until last as our couple had some very exciting news to share with all of their nearest and dearest… the barn was filled with cheers as the big screen showed a scan of Christina and Colin’s newest addition due early next year!! Massive congratulations to both of you!!

It was then time to serve the wedding breakfast, with a choice of either Pickerings’ sausages with buttered mash, seasonal greens and onion gravy or pan fried chicken fillet, bubble and squeak, black cabbage and Colman’s grain mustard sauce – delicious! Chef had also been busy preparing a an impressive savoury cheesecake which was soon demolished as guests nibbled and chatted round guest tables.

Guests made their way out on to the terrace to enjoy the most of the sun’s surprising visit as the lads messed around on the lawns having a kick about. The pizza oven was lit and soon enticed guests over to choose their toppings and create their own personal pizzas.

Our house DJ was back in action and had plenty of our couples’ favourite tunes to fuel a night of partying!

We have had so much fun planning with you both. It has been a privilege to host your special day and to meet all of your friends and family too. We wish you both the happiest future together and all the best for your new little family! ?? xx
