Mr and Mrs Barnes' relaxed wedding day

Posted on 04 August 2018

After two years of planning, Tilly and Chris became Mr and Mrs Barnes in front of all their friends and family under the Garden Rotunda. It may have been a slightly later 4pm ceremony but the sun was still beaming as it had all morning!

As we welcomed the happy couple back down the aisle to the sounds of High School Musical (apparently Chris knows all the words!!) guests were invited to help themselves to a drink from our cocktail bar and a snack from our ‘Tastes of the States’ ladders which featured some yummy mac ‘n’ cheese bites, hot dogs and French fries!

Our giant inflatable assault course and garden games were also brought out to keep guests entertained throughout the afternoon and as competition was heating up, our Bride was keen to get involved and even made it through in her wedding dress! The wonderful Sean Goodman was also on hand to wow guests with a little magic!

After a few photos, guests were invited to gather on the lawns as the speeches from the bridal party took place on the terrace. We heard some great stories about how the pair met and how proud their friends and family are of not only Tilly and Chris but also of little Charlie who was the best ‘little best man’ to his Daddy!

Inside the barn the couple had added a few personal touches to the tables and walls with lots of polaroid photos and a dusting of sparkle as well as cute festival band favours for their guests to wear. It was Dad though who provided the real centrepiece in the form of their EIGHT tier wedding cake! We are sure it has been planned for many years but it looked amazing and a real showstopper as we are sure you will agree! If that wasn’t enough Michael had also fitted LED lights through the centre of the stand much to the delight and surprise of his daughter!

Pizzas and the potato station were enjoyed by all, particularly with the giant blackboard of sauces for guests to try! Everyone loved seeing the Chefs cooking their pizzas and being able to make their own weird and wonderful topping combinations!

The final formalities of the day were soon upon us as our happy couple took to the dance floor for their first dance as man and wife before Tilly had a dance with her dad! As everyone clapped and cheered they soon joined in for a night of dancing!

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Barnes on your special day, we wish you all the best for your future together and it has been a delight getting to know you both throughout your planning xx
