Mr & Mrs Rimmer

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue ??

Yesterday, Shannon & Tom had beautifully decorated the barn with their hand-crafted decorations to complement their blue scheme. The ceremony area boasted four stunning white and blue floor standing arrangements and blue organza sashes. Each of the guest tables were adorned with wooden slices with a rustic bottle filled with blue toned fairy lights and Bernie’s handmade post box stood proudly on the gift table.

The rain may have begun, but nothing was going to dampen the spirits of our fun-loving Bride as she made her way over to the barn to marry her soulmate. Our lovely couple are complete film buffs so Shannon chose to walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of the Jurassic Park theme tune which worked beautifully.

After their ‘I Dos’ were exchanged and the new Mr & Mrs Rimmer were announced, guests grabbed a bottled drink of their choice and gathered in the t-piece for some group photographs. As there was a break in the rain, guests darted outside for a big group photo on the terrace before taking their seats for dining.

A tasty three course meal was soon served, either a smoked back bacon and chicken terrine with piccalilli and toasts or roasted tomato soup to start, braised pork belly with roasted roots & cider glaze or Risotto Verdi for main and our famous warm chocolate brownie or strawberries and cream for dessert. All of the options certainly went down a treat with the guests – even the Best Man said it’s the best pork belly he’s ever had!

As toast drinks were poured, it was time for Bernie, Tom & Matt to share their speeches with the guests. Matt may have needed a little extra time to prepare (even the Groom couldn’t find him at one point!) but they all absolutely smashed it with a blinding set of speeches ??

With the room turned round and our house DJ ready in position on the stage, the evening guests arrived ready to kick off a night of partying!

Chip cones with battered sausages, cod fingers and halloumi sticks were on offer alongside our newlyweds’ beautiful cake to fuel all of the moves on the dance floor!!

We’ve loved getting to know you both and it’s been an honour to host your wedding. We wish you both the happiness in the world together as the new Mr & Mrs Rimmer xxx
