Mr & Mrs McGillivay

The sausage burial has struck its hattrick as yesterday we hosted our third wedding of glorious sunshine in a week! The perfect day for our lovely couple Rachel and Steve ??.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted by the man of the hour, Steve and his right-hand man and son, Joe. Guests made their way out onto the back terrace to absorb some sun rays before taking their seats ready for an outside ceremony under the Garden Rotunda.
Rachel, her bridesmaids and flower girl, Rosie along with two adorable Paige boys Dylan and Finn made their final preparations over in the Cartshed Lodge before making their way into the barn. Outside, a smart, yet slightly nervous Groom awaited the arrival of his soon to be wife! Rosie, Vicky and Kat led the way down the aisle, followed by Rachel and her two lovely Paige boys ??. Rachel looked stunning in her dress with her hair styled using floral elements that complimented her bouquet and flower arrangements beautifully.
After the ceremony was complete, the Bride and Groom’s nearest and dearest were greeted with a cooling glass of prosecco, bottled beer or a raspberry lemonade before kicking back to enjoy the summer’s day along with delicious canapes served from our snack ladders! The cattle in the meadow made an appearance to have an investigate and congratulate the new married couple. Meanwhile, the bouncy castle had been inflated and the children (and adults) enjoyed playing with our wooden garden games, fun for all ages!
Inside, the barn had been decorated with wild flower jam jar arrangements and the Bride and Groom had opted to name their tables after their favourite quotes from a range of different films! KWF provided wooden log slices, warm gold fairy lights and Mr & Mrs lit letters that tied the whole scheme together perfectly!
Next, after guests were seated, Joe had all eyes on him as he welcomed the new Mr & Mrs McGillivray into the room! Guests clapped, cheered and danced along to the sounds of “Sweet Caroline”. The perfect welcome for our fabulous couple!
The air had been filling with delicious smells of the barbecue all day and it was finally time for our Chef’s to unveil what they had been busy preparing all morning ??. Guests came up table by table to help themselves to the food! The barbecue was then followed by a mouth-watering offering of either vanilla cheesecake or chocolate brownie – yum!
With full stomachs all round, it was soon time for speeches. The Groom himself kicked them off with thank you’s for all. Next, the room heard from Steve and Rachel’s brother-in-law who spoke words of laughter and love (even if it was only written the night before!).
Later in the evening, a selection of fish or sausage and chips cones were revealed alongside a sweetie cart and our s’mores bar! The perfect late-night snack, especially for those with a sweet tooth.
Guests then made their way back outside to make the most of the remaining sunshine, enjoy a chilled drink and reminisce on the day before heading inside and towards the amazing three-tiered cake to watch the Bride and Groom take their first slice. This was soon followed by the first dance which kicked off an evening of dancing!
Rachel and Steve, you had planned the perfect day to reflect your laid-back and fun-loving style and we loved having the pleasure of hosting your big day! Congratulations Mr & Mrs McGillivray, we wish you all the luck and happiness for your future together and the best time on your honeymoon to Mexico! Xx
