Mr & Mrs Mallett
Posted on 12 July 2017
Yesterday was the wedding of Bonnie and Adam at Southwood Hall with their intimate ceremony perfectly positioned in the barn. Guests were greeted with a glass of prosecco before everyone took their seat for the ceremony and Bonnie’s son Hadley stood pride of place next to our Groom Adam with the rings waiting for our Bride to come down the aisle.
Arriving with her girls, Bonnie looked stunning in her figure fitting lace gown with a sweeping back which flawlessly showcased her long-curled locks which were pinned with delicate diamante detailing.
Arm in arm with her little brother Freddie our Bride grinned ear to ear as she made her way down the aisle to say her vows and marry Adam in front of all their closest family and friends. We did spot a few tears in the congregation as well as our Groom as he saw his wife to be! After a very emotional ceremony with some personalised readings the guests formed a line up to cheer and applaud the new Mr & Mrs Mallett down the aisle!
Prosecco and lawn games awaited our guests as they headed round to the rear lawns and the happy couple were whisked away for a few photos.
Bonnie had worked hard to make sure every little detail was perfect inside the barn, on the tables name tags were accompanied by a mini polaroid photo of each of their guests and hessian bags of sweeties were personalised with little name tags too for guests to take away with them. Having a mum as a trained florist is always a bonus and Kerry did an amazing job of the centrepieces which definitely had the wow factor that Bonnie had wanted! With the addition of KWF’s fairy lights and some hired Mr & Mrs letters the room was complete!
Bonnie and Adam had chosen a sweetheart table as their wedding table which gave them the perfect view of the room as everyone took their seat and opened the bottles of wine on the tables. A starter of seasonal soup or king prawn skewers on Asian slaw were enjoyed by all before our couple cheered on the chosen four who had been selected to carve the main course of Southwood salted beef which was accompanied by a delicious selection of salads and freshly baked breads.
The speeches had everyone reaching for their tissues with Bonnie’s step mum Charlotte making the ‘Father of the Bride’ speech on behalf of Bonnie’s Dad accompanied by a slideshow of photos of the family – we completely agree that he would be very proud of his little girl!
A slice of cake and live music on the terrace kept everyone entertained ahead of the evening guest’s arrival. Their DIY photo booth also had guests pulling weird and wonderful faces with the props and frames on the terrace.
With the summer sunshine beaming down an outside first dance on the terrace to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ was the winning end to the days formalities with everyone joining in for the last verse – beautiful!
With drinks flowing our Southwood Spud bar proved to be the perfect accompaniment with plenty of carbs to keep everyone up and dancing to our House DJ. A glow stick or two helped with the party atmosphere in the barn and everyone helped our couple enjoy their night to the full!!
Congratulations Bonnie and Adam on your wedding day – it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of and we wish you all the best for your future together xx
