Mr & Mrs High

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting Demie and Michaels special day and what a celebration it was!
Demie and her Bridesmaids were over in Southwood House putting together their final preparations as Michael and his groomsmen arrived looking very dapper in their matching peaky blinders style flat caps!
Before long, it was time for the ceremony to commence. Demie looked beautiful in her lace dress completed by our Bridesmaid’s burgundy toned floor length dresses – perfect for the season! Carrying stunning full bouquets provided by a close friend Rosie, the bridesmaids and flower girls led the way down the aisle before our gorgeous bride made her entrance, arm in arm with her very proud mum. Our Groom stood proudly at the end of the aisle with a beaming smile on his face the second he laid eyes on Demie.
After the ceremony was complete, guests followed around to the back terrace to grab themselves a drink from the terrace cooler and to enjoy some warming canapes from Chef’s static snack ladders. After taking some snaps and making the most of the outside area it was time for guests to take their seats ready for Michael’s dad, Richard to welcome the new happy couple into the room. Everybody stood, clapped and cheered in celebration of the new Mr & Mrs High!
Guests enjoyed a luxurious offering of our sharing menu which featured a Mediterranean table shared mezze board, a traditional table carved beef (completed with carvers, suited and booted!) followed by the table shared dessert banquet featuring a delicious selection such as chocolate fudge cake, biscoff cheesecake, lemon meringue, apple tart and more!
The meal was rounded off with an offering of a nice warm tea or coffee, shortly followed by a toast of sparkling wine in the anticipation of speeches.
First up was the mother of the bride, Rhiannon who shared a beautiful speech about her daughter and new son-in-law, Michael. Our groom followed on shortly after speaking loving words of his new wife and thanking his guests for joining the happy couple as a glass was raised! Finally, it was time for the three best men to take to the floor. Following one after another, they had the room in stiches with a competitive battle of the best, best man!
After a completion of formalities, we were shortly joined by the evening guests before it was time to cut the stunning five tier red velvet wedding cake! Taking a slice into the cake, they posed for photos before heading to the dancefloor to share their first dance provided by our in-house DJ. Demie then shared a dance with her mother as our guests crowed round to watch along ??.
Outside, Chef was busy preparing the jacket potato bar. Along with hot options like chilli con-carne and beans, it was the perfect winter warmer to keep our guests powering through the night. Served alongside was the amazing ultimate sweetie fix which included a sweetie table, s’mores bar, hot doughnuts, popcorn and candyfloss machine – yum!
Demie and Michael, it has been an absolute pleasure to host your special day and we wish you both, along with little Delilah the best of luck and happiness in the future! Stay in touch xx
