Mr & Mrs Halls
Posted on 10 June 2017
Yesterday was the wedding of Alice and Keith and what a beautiful day they had ??
After an evening of beers and hot-tub the boys woke themselves up with an early morning kick about on the rear lawns before heading back to the Cartshed Lodge for a last dip before getting suited and booted for the ceremony!
With the guests arriving our handsome quad of best men and ushers headed to the barn to welcome guests to Southwood Hall and show them their seats with our dapper Groom waiting patiently at the top of the aisle ready to see his pretty lady!
Over at Southwood House a relaxing ambience filled the air with Alice and her family relaxing in their bridal dressing gowns whilst enjoying a glass of fizz in anticipation of the big day. With everyone waiting at the bottom of the steps, Alice’s big reveal had all the girls with open mouths! A stunning beaded gown with plenty of sparkle and a delicate organza overlay. We also noticed a soft pink layer that flowed gently in the breeze as we made our way across to the barn – beautiful!
As the sounds of the bridal march filled the barn our page boy Ben led the way with the rings safely in his hands as the gorgeous flower girls followed hand in hand with our bridesmaids sprinkling petals down the aisle. It was finally time for Alice’s entrance and what a lucky man Keith is as she looked divine as the sun caught her dress and she walked arm in arm with her mum to meet her new husband to be.
Cheers and applause filled the barn as Mr and Mrs Halls were announced as husband and wife and proceeded to lead their guests round to the terrace for the drinks reception in the sun.
Our deluxe terrace cooler was topped up with ice and large bottles of Peroni and Kopperberg alongside miniature bottles of our house wines and traditional Fentimans soft drinks for guests to help themselves to and enjoy on the rear lawns. With the parasols wound up and drinks flowing a selection of canapes were a welcome tasty treat.
The ever-amazing Lightening Photography was back and with the help of Toastmaster Bob, organised guests into group photos before sneaking off with our happy couple for a few quieter pictures ??
A tasty two course meal awaited our guests including some rather scrumptious Pickerings’ Norwich sausages! With wine flowing guests enjoyed their meal whilst completing ‘Words of Wisdom’ cards for the Bride and Groom. One guest even tasked our waiting staff with an answer each for his card as they passed by!
The speeches were soon upon us with some touching words from Alice’s Dad and our Groom Keith who really looked like the cat that got the cream when talking about his gorgeous new wife! An emotional speech from our best men Russell and Darren concluded the speeches and guests were invited outside to enjoy some ice creams on the terrace before the evening guests arrived.
With guests being entertained with our garden games and the photo booth and magician, our Chefs cooked up a treat with a hearty hog roast and salads for guests to enjoy with the setting Southwood sunset.
A huge congratulations to Alice and Keith on their big day! It was a pleasure to be a part of and we wish you all the best for your future together xx
