Mr & Mrs Firman

Yesterday we were lucky enough to host the special day of Claire and David.

Claire was over in the Cartshed Lodge with a team of bridesmaids busily preparing for her big day whilst David could be found in Southwood House relaxing with his groomsmen ??.

Our bride made her way down to Coronation barn in a stunning layered white dress with gorgeous lace and embroidery detailing. Her bridesmaids followed in long mint green ensembles that matched the colour scheme beautifully!

The weather wasn’t quite what we had anticipated but nevertheless, the happy couple didn’t let it dampen their day. Their ceremony was filled with love, joy, laughter and led by a special entrance from Carly ha-ha! Guests watched the happy couple signed their register whilst the cattle played around in the meadow, making the perfect backdrop.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a selection of Pimm’s, a bottled beer or elderflower presse and admired the beautiful work that KWF had put into the day. Claire and her bridesmaids carried stunning full bouquets featuring a selection of carefully selected roses, freesias and pittosporum that skilfully picked up on the colour scheme. The dining tables featured striking alternating cone and hurricane vases that worked to add height to the tables whilst still allowing guests to socialise. Finally, along with the candlelight from the hurricane vases, the twinkly fairy lights tied the whole scheme together. A vision we’re sure will stick guests minds for years to come ??.

A toast of prosecco was poured soon before Andrew welcomed the new Mr & Mrs Firman into the room. Guests stood in celebration before taking their seats ready for Colin, a proud father of the bride to kick off the speeches. Followed by David and then the two best men Andy and Andrew, who had thoughtfully prepared a slideshow of images for all to enjoy ??. Next, it was time for a delicious three course meal that our Chef’s had been busy preparing all afternoon. After the Chef’s came out to congratulate the new happy couple they were very pleased to see clean plates all round!

After the meal guests popped outside, making the most of the mild evening to enjoy a kick around with the footballs and goals whilst Claire and David warmly greeted their evening guests. It was then time to cut the beautiful cake prepared by LOVE cakes. We especially loved the personalised cake topper!

Following traditions, it was time for guests to gather around the couple as they shared their first dance together.
Definitely a moment that we’re sure our bride and groom will treasure for years to come! The bride then invited her father to the dancefloor for their father daughter dance before our house DJ amped up the tunes for a night of partying.

Chip cones, hot rolled doughnuts and a sweetie table were unveiled to power guests through a night of dancing and went down a treat!

We have truly had a wonderful time getting to know such a lovely couple and feel so grateful that we were chosen to help them celebrate such a big day! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Firman, we wish you both and little Carley the best of luck and happiness together for the future. Keep in touch!
