Marvel-ous day for Sasha and Josh
Posted on 21 April 2019
It was Easter Sunday and the day had come for Sasha and Josh to tie the knot! Under the warm glistening sun, you could have been mistaken for thinking we were in the peak of summer ??.
Guests arrived helping themselves to a cool, refreshing beverage as they mingled with friends and family before heading outside ready for our first garden rotunda wedding ceremony of 2019!
Under the garden rotunda, a smartly clad Groom eagerly awaited the arrival of his future wife whilst Sasha, her seven bridesmaids and two flower girls arrived on a party bus. The perfect arrival for a fun-loving bride!
Escorted by her uncle, Sasha looked gorgeous in a beautiful princess wedding gown with elements that caught the sun as she made her way down the aisle. With such a big group of friends and family and by the look on all of the guests (and the Groom) faces as Sasha walked down the aisle it’s clear to see how important Sasha really is in so many people’s lives ??.
After a lovely ceremony guests chilled in the sun with the photographers taking a few snaps and a magician impressing everybody with his tricks as they watched the lambs skipping around on the meadow – what more could you ask for on a perfect Easter Sunday!
For our Groom, a massive superhero fan himself, there was no other way to decorate the barn than an all-out Marvel and DC theme. The tables were decorated with candy-bowl holder figurines that held their favours. The figures were personalised with a little help from the Mother of the Groom who had stuck photo frames with images of the Bride and Groom to the back to give them a more personal touch. Superhero bunting was swagged from the beams and the bride had even set up her own selfie station to capture some ever-lasting memories.
After a delicious table carved roast and trio of desserts, a glass of bubbly was poured to toast and it was time for the speeches! Kicking off the speeches was the Groom’s mother who had the room roaring with laughter and even managed to link her speech to each character figurine table centres. The room heard from the Groom’s brother, the best man and the maid of honour who toasted to her “sister from another mister and her new brother from another mother”. Finally, Josh took centre stage starting his speech with his own rendition of the fresh prince of bel air. “Now I’d like to take a minute just sit right there, I’ll tell you the story of how I met my stalker with ginger hair” ??. He did, however, end it with some touching words and about his beautiful new wife.
Following the formalities Sasha and Josh relaxed with friends and welcomed in their evening guests before heading back in to cut the cake and do their first dance!! The band kicked the night off with live sets and some floor filling classics.
Outside under the twinkling fairy lights of the barbeque lodge the evening catering was served. A gourmet burger bar was just what our guests needed to recharge their batteries ready for a night of partying. For those with a sweet tooth, hot rolled doughnuts were served alongside the burgers which put a mouth-watering aroma in the air.
It really has been a pleasure to host the wedding of such a lovely couple. It seems that Josh really has found his own Mary Jane Watson and we wish you all the best for your future together as husband and wife! Xx
