Lewis marries his best friend, Vicky!
Posted on 15 July 2017
Referring to his new wife as his best friend since high school, it was quite obvious that Vicky and Lewis were meant to be! After more than ten years together it was time for them to become Mr & Mrs Marshall much to the delight of all their friends and family!
A super excited Vicky and her equally excited mum and bridesmaids were enjoying being preened and pampered over at the Cartshed ready for the big day! The girls looked gorgeous in their lilac dresses and Vicky was nothing short of perfect in her fitted lace gown with beading detailing that added that extra ounce of glamour!
Since booking her wedding two years ago our Bride has always dreamt of an outside ceremony so that was what we were going to give her! Despite a light rain shower just before the ceremony the team were on hand to dry the seats ready for Vicky’s entrance. The Rotunda looked amazing with KWF foliage garlands and pedestals dressing the front posts and pretty pomander balls and the hessian aisle carpet lining the aisle – all ready for the big ceremony ??
Kavolini String Quartet played our Bride and her girls down the aisle which gave everyone goose-bumps! A beautiful reading from the bridesmaids and a poem from Vicky’s mum which she had written all about her beautiful daughter and her husband to be which left not a dry eye in sight.
With cheers and applause Mr & Mrs Marshall led their guests back down the aisle and towards the Pimp Your Prosecco station, terrace cooler and static snack ladders which were ideal for their relaxed drinks reception in the sun. Filled with tasty bites from the kitchen, the stands were a welcome treat ahead of the wedding breakfast!
The barn looked amazing thanks to KWF who had decorated the barn with fairy lights and the tables with elegant candelabras which definitely suited the high beams of the barn! Vicky had added cute little personalised hearts to each place setting and her signing frame on the gift table looked wonderful.
Its always a Bride prerogative to be late but as guests eagerly awaited the Bride and Grooms entrance into the room it was the Groom who was running late after a quick change out of his uniform and into his suit which we think he looked very dapper in indeed!
Our couple chose our new 2017 chicken dish which went down a real treat in the barn – accompanied with pea, pancetta and potato salad with a mustard crème fraiche veloute it was a delight for all to enjoy.
After a quick interlude for the speeches which were very entertaining indeed, a trio of miniature goodies were brought to the tables to finish off the wedding breakfast alongside teas and coffees.
With a warm summer breeze on the terrace guests headed outside for a glass or two whilst enjoying our garden games on the lawns. The smoke from the pizza oven filled the air as talk turned to the what was in store for the evening and Chef welcomed guests over to create their own pizza.
As the sun began to set guests gathered inside the barn for the final formalities of cutting the cake and their very romantic first dance. The cake was another masterpiece from Vanilla Cake Design which stood tall for all to admire with delicate lace detailing on the four tiers and flowers from KWF for that final touch!
The night was full of drinking, dancing and lots of laughing as Vicky and Lewis celebrating becoming man and wife! Vicky's Grandparents even performed a special line dance which everyone loved and soon joined in with!
Congratulations Lewis and Vicky on your special day! We have loved helping you plan your day and even more being here to celebrate your marriage – we wish you all the best for your future together! xx
