Laura & Zoe say I do!

After months of planning it was finally time to welcome Laura and Zoe to Southwood Hall for their big day. With some brighter weather this week you could tell that everybody was excited for the day ahead.

Laura made her entrance in a stunning Silverline landaulette accompanied by one very proud father. Zoe patiently awaited the arrival of her future wife and with seven bridesmaids by her side Laura managed to keep her cool to make her graceful entrance down the aisle followed by her beautiful trailing dress.

Laura and Zoe opted to recite their own vows for the ceremony which gave the formality an amazing personal touch. Friends and family of our couple watched on in awe as the two shared the special moment. After a few laughs, tears and photos they made their way back up the aisle!

The barn was decorated with warm yellow and gold tones which gave a cosy feel as the daylight started to draw in. KWF had provided Laura and Zoe with warm fairy lights that swagged throughout the barn, giant LOVE letters, hessian chair sashes and cake barrel that gave the whole occasion a rustic, warming feel – perfect for a February wedding! Flowers were carefully prepared by Zoe’s sister who really helped the scheme come to life.

Guests took their seats before our two brides were welcomed into the room by Laura’s dad Brian. Guests cheered and clapped celebrating the arrival before taking their seats ready for a delicious three course meal.

After the meal it was time for speeches. Brian took centre stage kicking the speeches off with a heart-warming and funny speech, followed by Dawn who reminisced about the time her and Laura have spent together, then Zoe’s best friend Jess who dedicated her speech to how she knew that Laura was the one for Zoe. Finally, an emotional and caring speech by Zoe herself – followed by lots of thank yous and prezzies.

As evening guests arrived our very own house DJ then set up ready for the night ahead. With lots of special guest requests it was a sure fire that guests wouldn’t be able to help but get up and bust a few moves.

The cake was then cut and the happy couple took to the dancefloor for their first dance. After a few fun sparkler shots outside it was time for evening catering to be served. The jacket bar caught the eye of guests before they returned back inside to help themselves to our popular new “donut mind if I do” board.

Guests partied the night away as the room filled with laughter, cheer and happiness. What an amazing day! Laura and Zoe it has been a pleasure to host your big day and we wish you all the luck and happiness as the new Mrs & Mrs Shaw!!
