Kylie & David tie the knot!
Posted on 29 December 2017
Kylie and David have been busy planning for months and yesterday it was finally time for them to say ‘I do’!
Although it may have been lashing it down outside nothing was going to dampen Kylie’s spirits as she prepared for the big day ahead with her mum and bridesmaids in the Cartshed Lodge. The girls’ hair and make-up were in perfect place (thanks to Kelly and Lauren) and they were ready to step into their gorgeous purple floor length gowns. Kylie’s dress was an absolute show stopper and we knew there would be tears when Mum first saw her!
Over in the barn, guests had taken their seats for the ceremony whilst reading their order of service cards and admiring the beautiful decorations. Our lovely couple had always wanted a touch of Christmas included in their day, so what better way than marrying on the stage with our giant Christmas trees either side!
KWF decorated the barn with twinkling fairy lights and wicker hearts. A beautifully hand crafted ‘pick a seat, not a side’ sign (made by their super talented friend) was displayed in the ceremony area and a hand carved wooden post box made by David’s Dad placed on the gift table for cards and presents. What a talented bunch!
The bridal party dashed out of the Cartshed Lodge, with the help of a few brollies, and made it over into the warmth of the barn where David was eagerly awaiting his Bride’s arrival. Our gorgeous flower girls and page boy led the way down the aisle with massive grins on their little faces! Ruth, Hayley and Maddie followed elegantly and we certainly saved the best until last! Kylie was escorted down the aisle by her very proud Mum, Jo and was finally in the arms of her soulmate!
With the new Mr and Mrs Smith announced, guests mingled in the barn as our photographer snapped away and the brilliant Sean Goodman showed off his best tricks! Of course, all of the family had to be included in the photos so it was only right that our newlyweds’ cute dogs came to join us for a snap or two!
Guests took to the dining tables, which were beautifully decorated with rustic wooden plinths, jam jars of flowers and terracotta pots filled with petals before being treated to a tasty three course meal. Our famous table carved main course went down a treat with each carver intrigued to know how they had been chosen to help the Bride and Groom on their big day!
With tummies full and glasses charged, it was time for the speeches and David and his best man certainly lived up to expectations and gave two cracking speeches!
It may have been bitterly cold outside but our guests were soon warmed as they entered the barn and were greeted to a warming treat from our hot chocolate station, a tasty s’mores bar and of course the Kadai sausage sizzle.
The talented The Joe Ringer Band performed an acoustic version of our couples first dance before kicking off the night with plenty of party classics to ensure the dance floor was filled all night!
We have had so much fun getting to know you both and wish you the happiest future together. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Smith ?? x x
