Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting Lauren and Simon's wedding. It was a day filled with celebration and love as our couple were welcomed into married life surrounded by those closest to them ??.
Lauren was busy being pampered away in the Cartshed Lodge all morning getting ready for the day ahead as our groom eagerly awaited her arrival inside the Coronation Barn. Lauren made her entrance in style, escorted by a doting father of the Bride. She wore a stunning dress with beautiful embellishment, finished off with Lauren's mum's veil to celebrate her parents ruby wedding anniversary!
There wasn’t a dry eye in sight as an emotional ceremony was carried out. Guests were offered a drink as they returned following the bride and groom down the aisle. A special twist on one of our popular offerings as Lauren and Simon opted to offer guests a Peroni to signify their engagement in Italy - such a lovely caring touch!!
Tables were thoughtfully decorated using characters from Lauren and Simons favourite Japanese animated fantasy films. Lauren had even taken the time to embroider the characters from scratch to place around the room that really incorporated the heart of their scheme. Arranged alongside floral filled jam jars and free-standing initials it gave the barn the perfect balance between a simplistic yet personal style.
It was then time for the speeches to commence – the room heard from the Father of the Bride, the Groom, the Bride and last but not least the Best Man. There were a few more tears and a lot of laughter, but one thing was clear – the undoubtedly pure love that Lauren and Simon have for one another. If there’s one thing that we can all take away from Simon’s speech it would be “don’t say sorry unless you really mean it” lol!
Guests then enjoyed a delicious three course meal with a slideshow of the happy couple that laid a perfect backdrop. After a quick room change our house DJ took centre stage ready for a night of partying. Kicking off the celebration Lauren and Simon took to the dancefloor for their first dance, followed by a special father daughter dance. The night was complimented by an offering of chip cones alongside our brand new “donut mind if I do board” which managed to capture everybody’s attention (we couldn’t possibly think why ??).
It’s been lovely to get to know such a sweet couple and we can’t believe how quick time has flown by in the lead up to their special day. Lauren and Simon we wish you all the happiness for the future together as the new Mr and Mrs Powles! #KPowlesWedding
