Just ‘Wright’ for each other
Posted on 14 October 2017
With temperatures in the early twenties and the sun shining brightly over Southwood Hall you would be forgiven for thinking that summer was back! Really, we think the weather was down to having such a lovely couple who were just ‘Wright’ for each other ??
Erin and Ryan booked with us just under ten months ago but their whole planning process has been so smooth and relaxed with a clear vision for what they wanted right from the start! Their ceremony area inside Coronation Barn was decorated beautifully with KWF bunting and fairy lights hung from the beams and the chairs beautifully decorated with hessian and lace chair sashes. They soft pinks and creams in their wedding flowers fitted the barn perfectly.
As guests began to take their seats our super chilled Groom and his groomsmen looked very handsome in their grey tweet suits at the top of the aisle. As we played their entrance music everyone in the room had a huge smile on their face and no wonder as the bridal party absolutely smashed it!! The two youngers looked super sweet in their pink and ivory dresses as they scattered petals down the aisle and they were closely followed by the bridesmaids who all wore slightly different gold sequinned dresses which looked amazing as they caught the sunlight! As the girls joined the guests at their seats everyone turned around for Erin’s entrance with her Dad and what a beauty she was with her soft purple hair pinned up and her lace dress fitting her perfectly ??
Just before we cheered our couple down the aisle, we spotted a few ladies with some secret bags along the back row and wondered what was going on… As the new Mr & Mrs Wright were announced the girls whipped on their cloaks, glasses and stripy scarfs as a surprise for our massive Harry Potter fan Bride!! Great idea girls and we bet there are some fab photos too ??
Drinks and treats from our canape snack ladders were enjoyed on the rear lawns whilst our lovely couple posed for a photo or two. Inside the barn tables were put into place and the finished touches were applied. One of our favourite items of the day were their super cute charity pin favours which were designed in a similar style to their theme with bunting and pretty sparkles – such a wonderful idea! Another favourite was their amazing cake from @Vanilla Cake Design – wow!
Food was definitely a big part of their day and they decided upon a wonderfully seasonal menu which included soup or goats cheese to start, beef fillet or butter-roasted chicken for main and a zesty lemon tart or chocolate brownie to finish off. With their choice of mains, they also chose a selection of wines to complement the dishes which certainly went down well with their guests.
The last of the summer sunshine was enjoyed after the meal on the terrace with guests also enjoying an amazing Southwood Sunset!
The final formalities of the day were soon upon us with the cutting of their amazing cake and their first dance which had everyone gathering around the dance floor!
Pizzas and s’mores were served under the Barbeque Lodge with guests loving creating their own pizzas and melting their marshmallows over the flames on this mild October evening. An evening of drinking, dancing and singing entailed with everyone partying the night away with the couple until the early hours!
Congratulations Erin and Ryan on your special day, we wish you all the best for your future together and may your ‘Bond’ grow ever stronger now you are Mr & Mrs Wright! xx
