Jenny & Kieran's elegant wedding
Posted on 31 July 2017
It was a very emotional day from the word go yesterday as Kieran and Jenny prepared to become husband and wife.
We were pleased to welcome back Tracey Ward Hair & Love Moi make up to assist the bridal party with their preparations Cartshed Lodge before they made their way over to the barn.
As the girls stood ready to make their way down the aisle the adorable little flower girls practised their best smiles while Jenny’s nerves were calmed with a few words from dad.
To say that Jenny made a stunning bride is an understatement. Her elegant, slinky dress, long veil and hair piece were simply beautiful. Despite our warning of how incredible Jenny looked, Kieran was brought to tears at the sight of his wife-to-be as she continued her journey down the aisle to spontaneous applause!
A very emotional reading was a highlight of the ceremony and made the service even more personal. The ceremony took place in the barn with a backdrop of the meadows beyond and was decorated with chair sashes and tall gold candelabra – so romantic! We think that the 6% involvement that Kieran had in the wedding planning (by his own admission) definitely resulted in this gorgeous effect.
Once married, our bride and groom made their way outside for a drink and chef had prepared scones with jam and cream for guests to enjoy while they had photographs taken. A gorgeous moment was shared by all as the newly-weds were showered with confetti by their nearest and dearest much to the delight of the little flower girls.
As guests made their way into the barn ahead of the wedding breakfast, the fabulously unique seating plan created by Jenny’s sister was the focus of their attention. Kieran and Jenny had made it easy for guests to find their seats at the table by producing place cards that bore a photograph of each individual guest – no mean feat.
With guests in their seats our couple were announced into the room by the father of the bride and enjoyed their moment with a lively soundtrack and guests applauding and cheering them.
Mother of the bride was on hand to provide Jenny with her very own bib (she even managed to make this look classy!) and she was safe to tuck into her table carved triple smoked gammon and chocolate brownie.
For something a little different, Kieran and Jenny decided that they would like to have a cake made of cheese and after cutting into one of the tiers, guests enjoyed a selection of British cheeses with their coffee as the perfect way to finish their meal.
Following more tears over speeches, Bill Downs joined the party to play a little something for the special couple to dance to for the first time as husband and wife and they were soon surrounded by their friends and family to party on!
Guests enjoyed traditional chip cones with beer battered fish, sausages or halloumi and the candy buffet provided something sweet.
A photo booth captured many happy memories of the day and we hope that these and many more will stay with you both.
Congratulations to you both, we are sure that you will continue to make each other very happy. X x
