The weather may have been a bit all over the place for the past week but burying a sausage certainly worked for Emily & Josh as the sun beamed over Coronation Barn for their special day yesterday!

As guests made their way outside to take their seats on the lawn in front of the Garden Rotunda, Emily and her girls put together the final touches to their hair and make-up before heading down the aisle. All four Bridesmaids looked stunning in their floor length purple gowns as they elegantly led the way to the Rotunda before it was finally time for our beautiful Bride, arm in arm with her very proud Dad, to make her way down the aisle and marry her soulmate.

After an emotional ceremony (including a surprise entrance song!), guests mingled on the lawns with a glass of fizz, bottled beer or elderflower presse to celebrate with the new Mr & Mrs Holmes whilst Chef’s canapes circulated – his selection certainly went down a treat with all of the guests!

As our couple were whisked off for some romantic shots with Tim Stevenson, everyone lapped up the sunshine and admired all of the beautiful decorations. Rope handled lanterns, cute spirit bottled filled with fairy lights, lovely seating plan and an order of the day sign too.

Inside the barn tables were decorated with floral masterpieces, cute jam/chutney favours for each guest and a stunning wedding cake from Love Wedding Cakes. Our Bride and Groom are both crazy about biscuits so, each table was named after one of their favourites. Guests were soon heard competing about who was on “the best table” ??

As guests made their way to their seats for dining, Chef served a delicious three course meal before it was time for a cuppa and a glass of fizz ready for the speeches. Emily’s Dad, Dave, was up first and had everyone in fits of laughter with his jokes! Our Groom kindly thanked everyone for their hard work in making the day possible and our Best Men duo, Daniel and Adam had a special treat in store! A defence hearing for Mr Joshua Holmes – absolutely hilarious!! ??

After the formalities for the day were complete, guests made their way back out to the terrace to enjoy a drink and a game or two. Our lovely newlyweds had provided lots of little games for their nearest & dearest to play during the evening – tiddlywinks, cards and ‘slam it’ were all up for grabs!

After cutting their beautiful wedding cake and taking their first dance as man and wife, Emily & Josh had arranged a games tournament with all of their guests, including games on all of their own vintage consoles – amazing! ??

We also had another new addition to the Southwood family yesterday and a little boy joined us just in time for the big day! It’s been a long-standing tradition for our lovely couples to name a calf if it’s born on their wedding day so everyone, please meet Hovis ??

We have absolutely loved getting to know you both so well and it’s been an honour to host your wedding day. We wish you both the happiest future together as the new Mr and Mrs Holmes xx
