Holly and Tom's Christmas wedding
Posted on 27 December 2019
For high school sweethearts Holly & Tom, the day had finally come for them to tie the knot and become Mr and Mrs Richardson!
Over in the Cartshed Lodge Holly and her bridal squad were busy glamming themselves up ready for the day ahead.
The sky was clear and the temperature was mild making for some gorgeous shots of the girls elegantly walking down to the barn in style. Holly sported a stunning all lace dress with beautiful back detailing and the bridesmaids wore flowing long pale grey gowns.
Over in the barn, Tom, accompanied by best man Ben stood proudly as they awaited the arrival of our stunning bride. Lining the aisle were simple glass lanterns that added a glint of warmth into the barn and the silver chair sashes complimented the bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly. Holly and Tom were reunited at the end of the aisle and it was clear for all to see how much they couldn’t wait to get married.
During the ceremony, guests heard a lovely reading from Auntie Rosalind and our happy couple had even personalised the ceremony by writing their own vows ??.
After the ceremony, guests were offered a selection of drinks before heading out onto the back terrace for that all-important confetti shot! A selection of canapes were also handed around for guests to enjoy whilst having their photos taken.
Inside, the barn was decorated with lots of personal touches! Auntie Rosalind had been busy creating a gorgeous three tier naked cake that stood nicely on the cake table alongside some gluten free vegan cupcakes lovingly made by our Groom’s auntie. The table centres featured Christmas style foliage wreaths centred with a glass vase and candle. The wreaths boasted a tiny bit of sparkle that glistened in the candlelight. Sticking with our seasonal theme, glass baubles were carefully placed at every seat as place cards and Holly had even gone to the effort of creating her own menu cards. The Southwood Christmas trees stood on stage and along with KWF’s golden fairy light bunting the whole scheme came together perfectly ??.
Guests clapped and cheered as the new Mr & Mrs Richardson were welcomed into the room before taking their seats to enjoy a delicious three course meal! The meal was rounded off with a warming cup of tea or coffee before a toast was poured to speeches.
During speeches, we heard from the Father or the Bride Clive and then our Groom before Ben rounded the speeches off and invited guests outside for a sparkler shot. Guests braved the chilly weather and gathered outside for the shot. Sparklers gleamed and our couple walked through a crowd of their nearest and dearest! We’re sure the pictures look amazing!!
Before long, we were joined by our evening guests who came to celebrate in honour of the new Mr & Mrs. After a relax and a few drinks, Holly and Tom sliced into their gorgeous cake while friends and family gathered round with cameras at the ready! We then followed on from tradition as our couple took to the floor to share their first dance as a married couple.
Holly had even designed her own sweetie table but before it was rime for sweets, our Chef’s were busy firing up the pizza oven to serve some delicious freshly cooked pizzas. Guests gathered as they chose their own toppings ready for Chef to prepare for them to enjoy.
The night was then danced away to DJing provided by Charlie Saad who certainly got everybody up and on the dancefloor!
Holly and Tom, it has been an absolute pleasure to get to know you and your family so well and to have the honour of hosting your big day. We wish you many more years of happiness and hope you stay in touch ??. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Richardson and a very happy new year to you, your friends and family!
