Yesterday we had the most glorious day celebrating Kate and David’s marriage!
As the sun beamed down over Coronation Barn, guests made their way inside and took their seats in anticipation of the arrival of the Bridal party. Whilst waiting for our beautiful Bride to arrive, guests admired all of the beautiful arrangements David’s talented sister had decorated the ceremony area with which beautifully matched the alternating chair sashes in our lovely couples’ pink and blue colour scheme.
As Silverline’s traditional wedding car pulled in the driveway, it was time for David to take his place at the top of the aisle and the ceremony was soon underway. The little ones led the way; adorable Hannah, Poppy, Josh and James had all been practising their biggest grins for the photographer and they certainly enjoyed their big moment as they made their way down the aisle! Kate looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle with her very proud Dad and Bridesmaid, Naomi, was on hand to ensure that her classic white gown looked perfect throughout her arrival!
After a ceremony filled with emotion, guests enjoyed a glass of Pimms, Prosecco or raspberry lemonade and made their way round to the rear terrace ready for lots of photographs! Guests basked in the sunshine and the little ones enjoyed running around on the lawns and playing with the garden games.
After our lovely newlyweds were back from having some photographs in the gardens, they were showered in confetti as they made their way through the tunnel of guests down the rear steps; we can’t wait to see the photographs – we bet they are gorgeous!
Inside the barn, tables were decorated with stunning floral centrepieces made by Laura, hand cut glitter place cards and cute little seed favours for everyone to take away. David is a very keen cyclist so of course it had to feature somewhere in the wedding – each table was named after a famous cycling event and David’s sister had made a stunning signing frame with a bike for everybody to sign too!
It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and guests couldn’t wait to get stuck in! Chef always loves to prepare something a little different, and with it being Good Friday, our newlyweds decided to serve fish for their main course - sweet potato crab cakes with coriander crème fraiche and dressed salad – simply delicious ??
Kate’s Dad was keen to kick off the speeches (after a little time to compose himself) and you could tell he had spent plenty of time deciding what he was going to say – plenty of jokes to keep everybody entertained and of course, lots of kind words about his beautiful daughter and new son-in-law! David gave plenty of speeches and spoke so lovingly about his new wife (cue the cheers!!) before handing over his Best Men who had everyone in fits of laughter!
Guests took the opportunity to make their way back out on to the rear terrace and enjoy a glass (or two) in the sunshine before our couple posed for photographs with their cake. Maria Clouting made a stunning three tier iced cake in shades of pink (of course!) which was displayed on the beautiful embroidery that Naomi had made especially for the new Mr and Mrs Bales!
We had a couple of Eric Clapton classics for the first dance and Father/daughter dance before guests joined our newlyweds on the dancefloor to kick off a night of partying!
We have loved helping you with all of your wedding plans & it has been an honour to host all of your friends and family on your special day. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bales, we wish you the happiest future together xx
