Glitz and glam for the new Mr & Mrs Henton
Posted on 16 February 2018
The sun beamed down over Coronation Barn yesterday and we really couldn’t believe that it was February!
Rachael and her gorgeous girls enjoyed a chilled morning in the Cartshed Lodge with a glass of bubbly and help from Emily at Love Moi Make-up to ensure that they all looked picture perfect before making their way down the aisle.
The lads calmed Karl’s nerves over in Southwood House by kicking back with a chilled beer and plenty of banter!
After seven wonderful years together, it was finally time for Rachael and Karl to become the new Mr and Mrs Henton and the constant beam across Rachael’s face told us that she just couldn’t wait any longer!
Our couple’s cute Pug, Luis, is their little fur baby and it was only right that he was included in the ceremony with all of the family. He made his way down the aisle and was followed by the adorable page boys and flower girls with the rest of our bridal party in tow! As soon as Karl saw Rachael at the end of the aisle we could see the tears welling up and we just knew that these two are meant to be!
With all of the legal formalities complete, guests made their way out on to the terrace to enjoy a drink and some tasty canapes whilst making the most of the surprisingly mild weather and stunning sunshine.
Rachael has always been super stylish so it was no surprise that her scheme was filled with glitz and glam. From her elegant detailed gown and sparkling tiara to the stunning trumpet vases filled with pink blooms and the glittery silver table runners from KWF, every detail had been thought of and complemented each other beautifully.
As Karl mentioned in his vows, Rachael isn’t always the quickest at making decisions, especially when it comes to food (!) but they certainly made a good choice for their wedding breakfast. Sausages with buttered mash, seasonal greens and onion gravy followed by a delicious trio of warm chocolate brownie, apple crumble and lemon posset certainly pleased guests and everyone was content ahead of the speeches.
Rachael’s Dad, Andy, had prepared a slideshow of images of our newlyweds and guests enjoyed watching and reminiscing about the fun times they’ve shared over the years before he took to the mic to kick off the speeches. Andy, Karl, Best Man Anthony and Maid of Honour, Tracey, all delivered blinding speeches and raised a toast to the new Mr and Mrs Henton!
As our house DJ set up for the evening ahead and evening guests arrived, Rachael and Karl made their way over to cut their stunning wedding cake topped with cute figurines of the two of them (and little Luis too!) before taking to the dancefloor for their first dance as man and wife! It was a beautiful dance but we think it may have been slightly upstaged by Rachael’s dance with her Dad. Our Zumba instructor Bride stood side by side with her Dad as they showed everyone how to really dance (and yes we have video evidence!)
With the standard set, the dance floor was soon filled and the DJ provided plenty of party classics as everyone partied the night away!
It was also wonderful to welcome back Beckie and Ben to Southwood Hall – we cant believe it has been three years already!
We have had the best time planning with you guys and wish you both the happiest future together, with Luis too, of course and enjoy your Vegas and Mexico honeymoon Xx
