Glamour filled day for Mr & Mrs Mawford
Posted on 08 September 2018
Kimberley and James are a very glamorous couple and yesterday they brought their glamour to Southwood Hall as they became Mr and Mrs Mawford.
Kimberley’s attention to detail meant that every little detail was beautifully tied together. The day began with James being delivered to the venue in a VW Camper Van – the perfect surprise from his wife-to-be!
The nerves mounted as Kimberley finally put down her wedding planning folder and let the reality of her wedding day sink in. She was surrounded by her bridesmaids and family as she prepared herself for the awesome day ahead. A show-stopping dress and bouquet combination were no surprise from this bride and Kimberley looked the picture of perfection.
Kimberley and James were keen to hold their ceremony in the gardens and so, in spite of the temperamental weather and with the support of the lovely registrars, we managed to send Kimberley and her dad off down the aisle to complete their nuptials under the garden rotunda. Their guests were good sports and joined the couple under the rotunda roof as the drizzle made a fleeting appearance. A very personal and romantic start to the day!
Kimberley had thought of everything and the ceremony was beautifully decorated with cream lanterns lining the aisle and giant gold candelabra from stylists KWF. The gold scheme carried through to the barn with sparkly sequined table runners, beautiful gold candelabra centrepieces and gold ribbons tied around cookie favours. KWF had added finishing touches of twinkling golden fairy lights and gold cutlery which finished the tables perfectly.
Following drinks and canapes, guests found their seats in the barn and took in all of Kimberley’s hard work as they enjoyed a three-course wedding breakfast. The barn looked just lovely!
Heart-felt speeches from Kimberley’s dad and James were followed by some hilarious anecdotes and a revealing film shown by the best men on the large projector screen. There were clips of the groom in compromising situations followed by a ‘through the keyhole’ look at his life – needless to say the room were in hysterics!
Following the wedding breakfast, Kimberley and James’s nearest and dearest were treated to some live music on the terrace and the children enjoyed the football goals on the lawn.
It was soon time for the newly-weds to cut their cake which, you guessed it, was gold to tie in perfectly with the scheme (Kimberley had even found a gold cake knife!). We half expected to cut it and find the inside was gold and glittery too! :p
The couple’s first dance was the classic I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston and was so romantic. A live band then encouraged the rest of their guests to party on the dance floor. For those who were feeling a little peckish, there was the opportunity to build their own burger from the burger bar with a selection of toppings and sauces to create your own masterpiece!
Kimberley and James, it seems that all of your hard work and planning was worth it for such a spectacular day! We wish you every happiness together as Mr and Mrs Mawford x x
