Fun filled wedding for the new Mr & Mrs Garner
Posted on 01 October 2017
Yesterday, it was finally time to host Nikki and Stuart’s big day in Coronation Barn and everyone was very excited! Guests travelled from near and far to celebrate with our lovely couple and their adorable daughter Lily couldn’t wait for her ‘party’!
Nikki arrived in a stylish Mercedes with her stunning bridesmaid, Donna. The girls made a dash into the barn (avoiding the showers with the help of an umbrella or two!) and had final touches added to their hair and make-up as they prepared for that all important walk down the aisle.
Wagners Bridal march filled the barn and Lily led the way with the help of Donna and Jemima – the girls all held hands as they made their way down to meet Stuart. Nikki followed the girls in her stunning princess dress with diamante detailing and stunning blush veil, accompanied by a very proud Mike.
With the vows exchanged (and Stuart a little too keen to copy the Registrars word for word!) the new Mr and Mrs Garner were announced and it was time to decide which of our newlyweds would be trusted with looking after the marriage certificate. I think it’s the first time we’ve ever seen a completely unanimous vote – good job Nikki! ??
Guests enjoyed a glass of fizz or Pimms in the barn as the decorations were admired – fairy lights hung from the lower beams, gorgeous floral centrepieces and photos of our lovely newlyweds. Each place setting was filled with an advice card for the new Mr and Mrs and a tasty chocolate love heart favour.
It has always been important for their favourite foods to be included within their wedding so Chef was delighted to prepare a bespoke menu for their wedding breakfast and it certainly went down a treat.
With full bellies and charged glasses, guests settled into their seats for the speeches. There were presents galore and many thank yous given during Stuart’s speech and some very loving words for his new wife (!). The beans were spilt about Stuart’s not so secret crush on Nikki when they met all those years ago and the speeches were rounded off with a toast to the new Mr and Mrs!
The sunshine tried to creep through the clouds and guests took the opportunity to head outside to enjoy a game of croquet or a kick about on the lawn. Evening guests began to arrive and were greeted with a glass of Prosecco to kick start a night of partying!
The children were kept entertained with plenty of fun and games throughout the day, a table filled with puzzles and toys and Zoe was here to create fun balloon animals for all the children – our very organised Bride really had thought of everything!
The barbecue lodge was filled with tasty treats for the evening reception – a delicious hog roast with a selection of salads and a s’mores bar, perfect for roasting marshmallows on a chilly evening!
Guests made their way into the barn to watch the formal cutting of the cake but our couple hadn’t chosen a traditional wedding cake! Whole rounds of cheese were decorated with fruits and crudites, flavoured butters, relishes and crackers – the perfect twilight addition for guests to nibble.
Our band for the evening entertained guests with plenty of party classics and everyone headed to the dance floor to show off their best moves!
It has been a pleasure to help you with all of your wedding plans and we hope you had the most wonderful day. We know you’ve already had 13 amazing years together and wish you both a very happy future, with your adorable daughter too! ?? xx
