Friday, I'm in love!

Laura was accompanied by her very proud dad as she arrived in style to marry Peter in a swish Range Rover yesterday. Her bridesmaids followed and they gathered in the shade in front of the barn as they waited to make their way down the aisle.

Despite Laura claiming to be indecisive, we found that Laura and Peter had always had a very clear vision of how they wanted to present the barn to their guests and they were keen to enhance the rustic, country feel of the setting. For the ceremony, stylists KWF provided hessian bunting and hessian chair bows with lace detailing along with a giant wicker heart to hang in the window as a backdrop for our couple as they exchanged vows.

Laura was absolutely stunning in her princess style gown and long veil as she made her way down the aisle to meet a dashing-looking Peter. As the new Mr and Mrs McNulty signed the marriage certificate their choice of background music was played which included the very apt ‘Friday I’m in Love’ – a perfect choice!

Following a huge round of applause as they came back down the aisle as newly-weds, there were refreshing drinks of either a glass of prosecco, a glass of Pimm’s or a glass of raspberry lemonade to celebrate. While soaking up the sunshine in the gardens, a range of snacks were served for guests to enjoy.

Upon entering the barn for the wedding breakfast, the rustic detailing continued with table centrepieces of flower arrangements placed in vintage style jugs, little hessian bags filled with sweets as favours and further items from KWF to complete the look in the form of a vintage crate to display the cake and lit letters spelling out LOVE.

The new Mr and Mrs McNulty were welcomed into the room with huge applause from their guests before father of the groom was invited to give grace.

Guests were seated for the wedding breakfast which was completed with a choice of either chocolate and salted caramel tart with ice cream or vanilla cheesecake but easily the best received dish of the day was the ice cream sundaes enjoyed by the children!

Guests were served a glass of prosecco ready to toast the speeches as the formalities of the day came to an end and the happy couple looked forward to further guests joining them to party the night away.

With the cake cut and ready to enjoy alongside freshly cooked pizzas and hot doughnuts, it was time to take to the dancefloor for the first dance. Our house DJ kicked things off by inviting the newly-weds to the dancefloor before introducing the second song of the evening which Laura danced to with her dad. It had been at No.1 in the charts the day that our bride was born, triggering some very special memories for her parents, we’re sure.

Peter and Laura, it has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of your big day and getting to meet your nearest and dearest. It is obvious to see why you are surrounded by so many people who clearly think the world of you both.

We hope you enjoy your 3 weeks in Australia on honeymoon and wish you every happiness in your married lives together.
