Fairytale wedding for Katie & Lee!

On Katie and Lee’s seventh year anniversary, it was finally time for them to tie the knot and become the new Mr and Mrs Drewery.
Katie and her Bridal party prepared in the Cartshed Lodge with hairdressers, make-up artists and plenty of Prosecco at the ready!
Our helpful Ushers, Daniel, Scott and Zak ensured that all of the final preparations were in place for the day ahead (including a surprise treasure hunt!) and helped guests find their seats in the barn ahead of the ceremony.
After lots of practice the night before, our adorable Flower Girls and Page Boys led the way down the aisle to ‘bibbity-bobbity-boo’ (the perfect choice for our Disney loving couple!) followed by the gorgeous Bridesmaids in their stunning floor length gowns. No one was upstaging our beautiful Bride as she walked down the aisle with her very proud brother, Will.
The legal formalities of the day were complete and after some celebratory cheers and a massive grin on our newlyweds faces, guests enjoyed a glass of Prosecco or elderflower presse as their made their way round to the terrace for group photographs and a delicious selection of Chef’s canapes.
Katie has been so organised and prepared throughout the planning process and it could certainly be seen with all of her decorations. Each table was adorned with a central floral arrangement, cute place cards attached to stems of lavender and mini favour boxes filled with biscuit favours, which were lovingly prepared by Lee’s Mum, Lynn. KWF had been over to style the barn too with their giant LOVE lit letters, wicker heart with fairy lights, hessian and lace chair sashes and a cake barrel to display the stunning wedding cake, also made by Lynn!
It was soon time for our Toastmaster to round everyone up and head inside for dining and guests were delighted with their three-course meal. Southwood salt beef, pickled vegetables and truffle mayonnaise or trio of Elvedon beetroot, pickled carrots and whipped Binham blue to start, braised belly of Dingley Dell pork, smoked mash, roasted roots and cider sauce or Puy lentil, wild mushroom and caramelised onion Wellington followed by a palette cleansing lemon posset with lavender shortbread biscuit – delicious! ??
Coffee and toast drinks were poured as guests were hushed to hear the results of the quiz and one lucky table even managed to win themselves a bottle of Champagne! Whilst we still had everyone’s attention, Lee took the opportunity to take to the mic and thanked all of their guests for coming to share their special day and had plenty of gifts to give out with the help of his beautiful daughter, Jessica. It was then time for the highly anticipated Best Man’s speech who had everyone laughing with funny stories about Lee and his new wife!
With the sun still just about peeking through the clouds, the children ran outside to make the most of the bouncy castle and the lads enjoyed a kick about on the lawn as Lee’s secret surprise was prepared in Southwood House – we couldn’t wait to see his reaction!
Lee is probably the biggest Star Wars fan you’ll ever meet, so Katie sneakily managed to arrange for the characters to turn up on the evening of their wedding for photos and a little dance too – probably the best wedding present Lee could have asked for!!
It was our Toastmaster’s final time to round up guests to watch the cutting of the cake, throwing of the bouquet and of course the first dance!
Kadai sausage sizzle, hot donuts, candy floss, sweeties and s’mores fuelled the partying along with our Southwood styled Kilner cocktail bar as the ever talented Bill Downs took to the stage and entertained guests for the evening as they danced the night away.
We have loved every minute of planning with you, Katie and Lee, and it has been an honour to meet all of your friends and family in the process. We know you’ve already had seven amazing years together, but wish you the happiest future together as Mr and Mrs Drewery, with Jessica and Ava too ?? xx
