Chloe and James' Disney wedding
Posted on 03 June 2017
Yesterday we had the honour of hosting Chloe and James’ big day and it sure was full of fun! From the moment guests arrived the sun was beaming and there were plenty of smiles all round!
Our helpful Ushers showed guests to their seats ahead of the ceremony in the barn as the bridal party arrived in style in a vintage Campervan and posed for photographs! Chloe’s gorgeous Bridesmaids and Flower Girls led the way and then it was finally time for Darren to walk his beautiful daughter down the aisle to the beautiful sound of Bill Downs.
Chloe has been so well prepared throughout the planning process and her cute hessian wrapped tissues certainly came in handy for such an emotional ceremony. After two beautiful readings from the flower girls, and a quick whispered ‘I love you’ the new Mr and Mrs Bennett were officially married and guests made their way round to the terrace to enjoy a drink from the terrace cooler.
Chloe is probably one of the biggest Disney fans we’ve ever met, so it was the perfect fit for their tables to be adorned with Beauty and the Beast centre pieces, Disney quotes and artificial roses wrapped round the napkins. A rustic feel was also added with wooden carved place cards, hessian circles and wooden plinths from KWF.
A yummy selection of canapes were served as guests mingled, posed for photos and enjoyed the fete games on the lawn – the perfect way to spend a summers afternoon! Our adorable Flower Girls even managed to surprise our newlyweds with cuddly Micky and Minnie’s in the full bridal attire which we’re sure will take pride of place in their home.
Chloe and James’ parents joined them for a receiving line as guests made their way into the barn to find their seats for dining. Daniel then had the privilege of welcoming the new ‘Mr and Mrs Bennett’ into the dining room to none other than ‘Be Our Guest’! ??
Chef had been busy preparing a delicious three course meal – a choice of either Chestnut mushrooms sautéed in garlic and parsley butter on toasted sourdough or roasted tomato and basil soup followed by our three little pigs main course and a tasty trio of vanilla cheesecake, seasonal berry Pavlova and apple crumble – we didn’t see an empty plate in sight!
Coffee was poured as guests readied themselves for the speeches with either a glass of Prosecco or a Jagerbomb as Father of the Bride, Darren, was first up to speak. Darren isn’t the tallest of men, so decided it would be a good idea to don some white platforms for his speech so the guests at the back could still see him! He shared many happy stories about Chloe growing up and how delighted he is to welcome James into the family (some might even say the best Son-in-Law he could have asked for!).
It was then James’ turn to thank everyone for coming and gave his beautiful Bride a brand new name tag for their little dog, Charlie, with Mr and Mrs Bennett on of course! We all heard how Chloe has always had a crush on James since primary school but when they finally left college they officially became a couple and well, the rest is history!
Best Man, Dale, Father of the Groom, Paul and Chloe’s brother, Matty, also shared their funny stories and toasted the Bride and Groom!
Guests spilled out onto the terrace to soak up the rest of the sun as the photo booth was set up under the barbecue lodge and the band prepared for a night of partying in the barn.
It was time for our newlyweds to cut their wedding cake which was beautifully decorated to complement the guest tables and then have their first dance as Man and Wife (cue the cheers!!).
The night was filled with partying, pizza and a load of Jagerbombs and we couldn’t seem to stop Chloe and James grinning from ear to ear!
We have had so much fun planning with you both and really will miss seeing you. It was an honour to meet all of your friends and family and host your special day. We hope you have the most amazing time in Disneyworld Florida next week and wish you the happiest future together! xx
