Camilla marries her one & only
Posted on 02 June 2017
Yesterday our ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star’ couple Camilla and Neil tied the knot to become Mr & Mrs Wright and we certainly think they are more than right for each other!
Getting ready with her girls in the Cartshed Lodge our gorgeous Bride Camilla was perfectly relaxed and looking forward to seeing her man standing at the top of the aisle. Someone who was even more excited was our couple’s adorable daughter Imogen who, in her sweet ivory dress and purple butterfly wand, was super excited to see Daddy! She was also thrilled to see her best friend and page boy Luca who she ran across the carpark to see and give a big hug too – adorable!
As we reached the doors to the barn the sounds of Adele’s ‘One and Only’ filled the room and played the girls down the aisle. After a brief pause it was Camilla’s turn to come down the aisle and wow is Neil a ‘Lucky Man’! Camilla was a real stunner in her strapless gown with diamante detailing and hair pinned up perfectly.
Drinks were served on the front steps and guests were invited round to the terrace to follow the ‘Sweet Symphony’ of The Miserable Man who kept guests entertained throughout the afternoon with his acoustic melodies while canapes were circulated.
Out of the lawns we saw not one but two past Southwood Bride and Grooms, it was a pleasure to welcome back Mr & Mrs Murray to Southwood and massive congratulations on the upcoming arrival of baby Murray ??. We also welcomed back past Groom, Paul Knowles who was here as our photographer for the day and who previously married Laura here back in 2013!!
Inside the barn KWF had been hard at work transforming the barn with a classic but cool feel with elegant candelabras complementing our Bride and Groom’s vinyl table names with some of their favourite bands and we absolutely loved the stationary to match – definitely a favourite detail of the day! KWF also added satin grey chair sashes and soft lilac, ivory and green pom-poms which tied in nicely with their flowers which looked amazing, especially on the top table which was bursting with floral delights!
After an afternoon relaxing on the terrace with a tipple or two, guests were called into the barn for the speeches ahead of our three-course wedding breakfast. We loved the couple’s slideshow which guests enjoyed with their dinner and with the lights dimmed the candelabras looked beautiful through the barn. A refreshing lemon posset with Southwood Lavender shortbread biscuit was the perfect end for their meal.
With the arrival of the evening guests, our House DJ played some ‘Music when the lights go out’ for all to enjoy before welcoming the Bride and Groom onto the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple to a special version of Noel Gallagher’s ‘Slide Away’ which had everyone swaying along around the dance floor.
Cod fingers in Adnams beer batter with fries were enjoyed by all between dances and the specially organised ‘90s’ hour went down a real treat with all guests, especially with the flip-flops and glow-sticks supplied by our couple!
A huge congratulations to Camilla and Neil on your wedding day, it has been an absolute pleasure and we wish you both, with Imogen, every happiness for your future together xx
