Black and white wedding for Suzanne & Adrian

Posted on 24 July 2017

Yesterday, Suzanne and her Bridesmaids prepared for the big day ahead in the Cartshed Lodge. Her two gorgeous sons were ready and dressed in their adorable little suits and couldn't wait to make their way down the aisle and see Daddy!

Adrian arrived with his Groomsmen and ushered guests to their seats for the ceremony under the Garden Rotunda. Our fun loving couple are always joking around so we thought their idea of playing ‘Should I stay or should I go now’ whilst Adrian waited under the Rotunda was great and it went down a treat with guests as they laughed along as soon as they realised what was playing!

After ten years together, it was finally time for Suzanne to make her way down the aisle and marry Adrian. Suzanne opted for a non-traditional black wedding dress which just suited her perfectly! Her proud Dad gave her away and vows were exchanged – even the light drizzle didn’t dampen the spirits of our lovely couple and their friends and family. Everyone held out for a quick confetti shot as our newlyweds made their way back up the aisle.

Guests grabbed a drink from the terrace cooler as they made their way into the barn and admired the beautiful decorations which were all handmade by Suzanne’s talented Mum. The tables were adorned with jam jars and paper flowers on rustic wooden plinths which all perfectly complimented the bridal bouquets too. Friend of the Bride and Groom, Sally, made a stunning four tier wedding cake complete with a ‘It must be love, love, love’ cake topper.

With the new Mr and Mrs Willis announced into the dining room, guests made their way out to the barbecue to enjoy a tasty selection of hickory glazed chicken, pork and apple burgers and melting middle aubergine mozzarella parcels alongside an array of Chef’s salads. We may have had to have an umbrella or two at the ready but guests sure enjoyed their meal as there were empty plates all around!

Our Chef’s prepared a selection of delicious desserts which guests helped themselves to before enjoying a coffee. As the drizzle began to clear, the children were finally able to make their way outside and enjoy a quick bounce on our inflatables before the speeches began!

With the formalities complete, our photographer quickly grabbed a few couples shots before our beautiful Bride changed into her second outfit for the day.

The cake was cut and a secret rainbow tier was revealed before our couple headed to the dance floor for their first dance as man and wife.

Our resident DJ was back in action and provided plenty of tunes for everyone to dance along to. Suzanne has always made it clear that she had a sweet tooth so what better addition to the evening than our ultimate sweet fix! Candy floss, popcorn, doughnuts, a sweetie table, s’mores bar and our Southwood styled sundae station fuelled the dance moves for an epic night to remember!

It’s been an honour to help you with all of your wedding plans and to host all of your friends and family yesterday. We wish you the happiest future together with your perfect little family x x
