Beth and Ant say I do!

Posted on 22 September 2018

Yesterday we welcomed all of Beth and Ant’s guests on arrival from St George’s Church in Hardingham. As the sound of “Mrs Robinson” filled the ears of our guests, they knew that our newlyweds had arrived and greeted them from their vintage VW campervan whilst singing along to the perfect upbeat tune!

Glasses of Prosecco, Pimms and elderflower presse were enjoyed alongside cool bottled drinks from the terrace cooler and a tasty selection Chef’s canapes. Some guests mingled on the terrace and chatted away with loved ones whilst some grabbed their partners and had a little boogie along to the acoustic guitarist!

Inside the barn, guests found their way to their tables using Beth and Ant’s handmade table plan. Each table was named after a beach hut on Wells beach and each table centre was decorated with a cute table name, shells and beach ornaments. As Ant proposed to Beth on Wells beach, it was the perfect way to remember such a magical day. Each guest’s name tag was attached to a shell they had collected and everyone was treated to a homemade biscuit favour – delicious! KWF’s fairy lights and floral bunting twinkled from the beams and added that perfect vintage touch!

It was soon time for guests to dive under the barbecue lodge (avoiding the occasional shower!) to grab their choice of meats, breads and salads from Chef’s barbecue which was soon devoured. As plates were cleared and toast drinks poured, it was time for the highly anticipated speeches!

Proud Father of the Bride, John, was up first and shared his kind words about his wonderful Daughter and new Son-in-Law. It is clear to see just how loved these two are! Ant was up next and had been incredibly nervous in the build up.
It was an emotional speech, filled with nothing but love and by the way Ant, you smashed it!! ?? Ant’s Dad rounded off the speeches with a slideshow filled with memories of his son growing up and the memories they have made since they’ve moved to the UK too. After a slight “technical hitch” we managed to share a heartfelt pre-recorded video message from Ant’s family which meant so much to our newlyweds (third time lucky hey!).

An offering of Eton mess or chocolate brownie were enjoyed before the formalities of the day drew to a close and our band set up ready for an evening of partying!

Our Southwood spud’s proved the perfect choice of evening catering on a chilly evening. Alongside the Spuds, Beth’s talented bakers prepared a few tasty cakes which certainly caught the eyes of those with a sweet tooth!

After much deliberation, Mr and Mrs Robinson decided to take to the dance floor for their first dance to a beautiful live rendition of ‘Save Tonight’ by Eagle Eye Cherry. Beth looked absolutely stunning in her fitted wedding dress which suited her perfectly (and which was light enough to dance in; the main decider for our party loving Bride!) They were soon joined by all of their guests who were certainly ready to dance the night away!!

We have had so much fun getting to know you both over the past year and it has been an honour to host your big day.

We wish you the happiest future together as the new Mr and Mrs Robinson. Congratulations ?? xx
