Beautiful Brady wedding with a competitive streak

Posted on 01 September 2018

We always suspected that Chelsea would make a stunning bride but we were still blown away when she made her way out of the Cartshed Lodge yesterday.

Chelsea’s bridal party were the cause of a real ‘aaahhh’ moment as they made their way down the aisle with the Bride and Groom’s little girl Autumn heading up the procession. Chelsea and her Dad were the grande finale and were welcomed by Groom, Alex, and the couple’s beloved dog Cassius who was here to join the couple for their ceremony and photographs thanks to the lovely Pet Pixie.

The couple exchanged vows (with a little input from Autumn) before heading back out into the September sunshine!

Our fabulous Gin Palace took pride of place on the terrace to ensure that the Bride had her favourite tipple – a refreshing Gin and lemonade! It proved very popular as guests poured their own combinations of gin and mixers with garnishes to enjoy whilst they mingled. Our terrace cooler was also filled for those who preferred a beer or soft drink and the ladder stands were piled with snacks to devour too.

For those in need of something a little more active, the inflatable assault course was available and our fun-loving Bride and Groom didn’t hold back in challenging each other to a race although, we feel that Chelsea may have been at a slight disadvantage in the wardrobe department! Later in the day there was further competition as the guys stripped down to their ‘sports gear’ and the stop watches came out!

It was soon time for guests to head into the barn to check out the beautiful décor. Chelsea and Alex had opted for a subtle and elegant scheme of whites and greens with silver accents which looked fabulous. There were lovely centrepieces and signage and stylists KWF had added giant lit ‘love’ letters, fairy lights and chair bows throughout. The finishing touch was the yummy looking homemade, personalised cookie favours.

The new Mr and Mrs Brady were welcomed into the room with a huge round of applause before Nan took to the microphone to say grace and bless the happy couple. Following the wedding breakfast, a glass of fizz was served ready for speeches from both our Bride and Groom and Alex’s best men.

Guests made their way back outside after the speeches and there were more attempts at the inflatable assault course whilst everyone else watched and cheered!

As we enjoyed a classic Southwood sunset, guests created their own pizza topping combinations and watched Chef cook them in the wood burning stove. After photographs cutting it, there was also plenty of cake on offer for a sweet treat too.

The lovely Mr and Mrs Brady wowed us on the dancefloor with a fabulously choreographed first dance, encouraging all of their nearest and dearest to party the night away.

As we had learnt through the day our couple and their guests are super competitive so it was no surprise that after the inflatable competition had ended their attention turned to our sought-after jagerbomb record! For the first time this year the jager train was out and the record was met and smashed as the Brady party became the new record holders – well done guys!

Chelsea and Alex, you are a perfect couple and along with Autumn make a perfect little family. We wish you every happiness as you enjoy the rest of your lives together xx
