A tale of true romance for Ella and Sam

Posted on 30 July 2018

Take us back to a family holiday in Tenerife in 2006 when 14-year-old Ella and 15-year-old Sam first set eyes upon each other across a swimming pool and where Sam first make his move on his one true love! A few messages later and some flights back and forth from the Isle of Man and as they say, the rest is history!

Twelve years later and it was time for their friends and family to come together to celebrate the day that Ella and Sam became Mr & Mrs Quinn ??

With the weather unable to decide if it would hold fair we gathered all the guests inside Coronation Barn for the ceremony which looked AMAZING!! Ella loves sparkle and lots of it, so KWF took this on board and with the help of some stunning flowers topping off mirrored urns lining the aisle that reflected the twinkling fairy lights perfectly the barn was ready for Ella to make her entrance.

Everyone that knows Ella knows she has another very important man in her life who she couldn’t imagine not being there when she said her vows…their dog Teddy! After the bridesmaids had made their way down the aisle; Ella, Teddy and her Dad Simon made their entrance. Ella looked every bit the blushing bride in a showstopper of a gown (with plenty of sparkle) and her hair and makeup done to perfection thanks to Love Moi Makeup!

As Mr & Mrs Quinn were announced down the aisle, we congratulated them with a celebratory glass of fizz and they guests enjoyed a selection of Pimms and prosecco on the terrace. Our couple had also chosen some tasty canapés which were circulated on the rear lawns as guests relaxed with their chosen tipples.

Inside the barn the final finishing touches were added to the tables with glitter confetti and tea lights and each guest had a gorgeously handmade stone slice with their name on for them to take home. We loved all their personal touches in the barn, tables named after places the couple had visited together and a lovely little “wish you were here” board to remember those that couldn’t join us.

After a photo or two on the rear lawns, guests were invited to take their seat in the barn before welcoming in Ella and Sam who had chosen a very apt song indeed – we really do hope this has been the best day of your lives!

A gorgeous three course meal had been carefully selected by our couple who had previously come in for a private dining experience with our Chef! Mediterranean sharing boards were served to tables for guests to help themselves to during the first two speeches from Ella’s proud Dad Simon and our incredibly happy Groom Sam! Both gave us a little insight into how the couple had met and also what makes them work as a couple ??

Seared salmon with potato tartare, green beans and chive butter sauce was the perfect choice for a summer wedding and was followed by Sam’s favourite course which included a trio of three miniature desserts – delicious!

With the sun pushing its way through the clouds, guests headed to the terrace for a game or two of Jenga and our couple headed off for some photos in the gardens.

The final formalities were soon upon us and as Ella and Sam headed back into the barn to cut their cake, everyone admired the gorgeous cake from Maria Clouting which was also super sparkly and decorated with delicate ruffles and glitter sprinkles. Our House DJ then welcomed the couple to the dance floor for their first dance as Mr & Mrs Quinn before asking everyone to join the couple for an evening of dancing and drinking!

Congratulations Ella and Sam – it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both over the past year and to see your ideas come to life. We wish you all the best for your future together xx
