A game of 'Mr and Mrs' - wedding style!

Posted on 25 September 2017

The weather has been pretty miserable lately so we were super pleased when we saw the sun shining above Coronation Barn for Cesca and Dom’s wedding yesterday.

Cesca and her girls prepared for the big day ahead in the Cartshed Lodge after a relaxing night in the hot tub (and maybe a few glasses of Prosecco too!). The Bridesmaids looked beautiful in their elegant grey gowns but no one was going to upstage Cesca is her gorgeous detailed dress with the perfect amount of sparkle! The girls hair and make-up was in perfect place and it was finally time to make our way over to the barn and for Cesca to meet ‘the one’!

Dom’s groomsmen had ensured that all the guests had taken their seats on the lawns and were ready and waiting for the arrival of the bridal party. As the music began to play, the Bridesmaids made their way across the lawn before Cesca was walked down the aisle by her incredibly proud Mum, Nikki. As soon as Dom turned round and saw his beautiful Bride his eyes filled with tears and a cheeky grin appeared across his face!

After an emotional ceremony, guests made their way back down the aisle, passing through the beautiful floral arch made by Nikki, and enjoyed a glass of fizz on the lawns. Our ushers did an amazing job of rounding up groups of family and friends for photos whilst enjoying a selection of tasty canapes – the mini pancake stacks with crisp bacon and maple syrup went down a treat.

Inside the barn, the tables were adorned with gorgeous floral centrepieces on mirror plates and each guests’ handwritten place card was displayed in a cork which our couple have been collecting! The table plan was displayed on a large mirror decorated with flowers and the four tier wedding cake was stunning.

It was soon time for Ollie’s first announcement (and what a good job he did, we must say!) as guests were rounded up for dining. The new Mr and Mrs Morton were announced in and a tasty two course dinner followed – braised belly of pork, smoked mash, roasted roots and cider sauce followed by warm chocolate brownie or sticky toffee pudding – delicious! ??

The speeches were probably the most anticipated part of the day and they certainly didn’t disappoint! Nikki was up first, and made sure that everyone knew just how proud she is of her daughter and what a great man she thinks Dom is. She even had our newlyweds participate in a game of ‘Mr and Mrs’ which had everyone laughing! It turns out that they agreed on nearly every question which must mean they are a match made in heaven!

Dom’s hilarious Best Man was up next and had so many funny stories about the two of them at Uni and on various nights out; they finally had to admit to Dom’s mum that they do like to have a drink…. ‘Just some times’ ??! With all Jager inspired stories, it was only right that all of Cesca and Dom’s guests were offered a Jagerbomb to toast the end of Scott’s speech! Dom’s speech was filled with plenty of thank yous and of course, a toast to his beautiful new wife and ‘the best thing that’s ever happened to him’ – que the awww’s!

Our photographer snuck off into the Secret Garden to get some shots of the new Mr and Mrs as evening guests arrived to join the party! Our house DJ was back in action and filled the night with plenty of classic tunes to make sure everyone was on the dance floor!

We have had so much fun planning with you both and really do wish you the world of happiness together! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Morton ?? xx
